Derek J. Boggi is a roof and waterproofing expert who brings extensive construction knowledge to the J.S. Held team and has consulted on a variety of large, complex projects both nationally and abroad.
Derek has been a consultant with J.S. Held since 2008. Prior to joining J.S. Held, Derek gained experience in the construction field through his employment with contracting and roofing companies throughout the northeast and southern Florida regions. His roles included project estimating, contract negotiation, acting as the site foreman and project manager, overseeing construction purchases, and managing subcontractors. Derek was also commissioned as a supervisor to complete the largest standing seam steep-sloped metal roofing project of its kind in the United States. Derek has worked at numerous catastrophe events nationwide and has completed roofing inspections and evaluations on thousands of structures. Derek is often selected to provide appraisal and umpire services to assist in dispute resolution. Derek uses a diligent work ethic and experience to assist his consulting team.
Derek is a current member of the Roofing Consultant Institute, a certified HAAG commercial and residential roof inspector, a certified infrared thermographer, a certified Canon wind uplift specialist, a certified ACRABAT Authorized Person, and is a former member of the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers.
