David is a Quantity Surveyor and Quantum Expert with over 33 years of construction experience. He specializes in contractual claims for time and cost, insurance claims, managing construction risk, and the wrap-up of large value or complex commercial accounts. His experience covers a wide variety of project sectors, employing the major forms of construction and engineering contract types, including the various standard forms of the FIDIC suite (and amended FIDIC forms), as well as significant experience working with a variety of bespoke contract conditions.
With experience spanning multiple sectors and jurisdictions across the Middle East and Asia, David specializes in transport (including aviation and rail), power generation and distribution, hotels, leisure, residential, and social infrastructure, including schools and iconic building projects.
In particular, David has managed large teams of consultants to provide claims and commercial risk analysis advice on iconic mixed-use structures and numerous international airport projects. He has also managed the recovery of debts and bonds for liquidators, administrators, and banks on various construction portfolios of work.
David has provided independent expert advice to insurance providers, loss adjusters, and the insured party on property damage, CAR/Builder’s risk policy, and professional indemnity claims.
David previously held Vice President and country manager positions for other large claims and disputes management practices. He has also held senior commercial and contract management positions at a listed multinational infrastructure group and one of the world’s foremost engineering consultancy firms.
