Dave Simpson is a construction professional with nearly 20 years of experience in bid build and design-build delivery methods for owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and consultants. Dave has held senior positions including Vice President, Project Director, and Senior Project Manager for civil infrastructure Contractors in Western Canada.
Dave’s experience has been gained over a wide variety of construction-related projects. He has worked as a team member, leader, and senior manager. In all cases, Dave has demonstrated an understanding of the fair and cooperative approach required when balancing the interests of project stakeholders. Dave has developed a reputation for being detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and economizing. Dave is a proven asset to any project team and stakeholder group.
Over the course of his career, Dave has developed extensive experience with the complete life cycle of a construction project, from project pursuit to project completion. Dave is knowledgeable and experienced with cost estimating, project planning and scheduling, project budgeting and cost control, risk identification and mitigation, change management, claims, and dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
Dave also has experience working with Surety’s on contract defaults, performance bond claims, and labor and material payment bond claims.
