Daniel Sweeney is a licensed Professional Engineer with more than five years of experience in structural design, forensic engineering, and building enclosure consulting. His experience spans multifamily residential, senior living, and commercial properties, including the evaluation of structures during construction and remediation. He performs forensic assessments involving weather-related damage, water intrusion, and deterioration, applying current building codes, construction practices, and material performance standards to complex structural and building envelope issues.

At J.S. Held, Daniel conducts forensic engineering evaluations involving structural damage, retaining wall failures, water intrusion, and wind, hail, and flood impacts to building envelopes and roofing systems. He supports residential and commercial loss assignments throughout the southeastern US, providing technically sound analyses to support insurance, legal, and risk management matters.

Daniel holds a Bachelor's and Master's of Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from Texas Tech University.
