Damian comes from a background in disaster restoration, having spent nine years in the emergency service restoration industry, specifically pertaining to the organization and recovery execution of fire, water, mold, biohazard, windstorm, flood, and hurricane losses.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, Damian began as a certified IICRC technician, later taking over an operation and project management role. He handled all phases of a loss, from protocol requirements to the closeout of a loss. These losses included an emphasis on writing detailed scopes of work commensurate with current insurance industry practices and unit pricing to create a comprehensive estimate for the insured and insurance company. His hands-on experience has allowed him to access all conditions and problem-solve in an ever-changing environment. This experience has allowed him to understand the valuable essence of time management on a loss and the necessity of communicating with all parties involved.
