Connie Campbell Brashear is a forensic civil engineer with extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of soils, Karst geology, roadway soil surveys, construction, and vibration analysis. She has provided soil and groundwater design information for thousands of commercial, residential, and public infrastructure projects. Connie has also worked with teams of registered roof consultants, structural engineers, and microbiologists to evaluate storm damage and water intrusion within hundreds of residential and commercial properties across Florida.
Connie was a Neutral Evaluator with the Florida Department of Financial Services for over 10 years, mediating sinkhole claims and foundation repair disputes. She has investigated hundreds of construction vibration insurance claims from various utility excavations, surface mining in South Florida, roadway construction efforts, bridge demolitions, and pile driving operations. Connie has monitored noise and vibration maximums for projects ranging from low-impact timber pile driving operations to document the implosion and demolition of urban buildings. Her construction defect investigations have involved shored excavations, erosion and scour of infrastructure, and post-construction performance of pile foundations in coastal communities.
Connie has participated in numerous mediations and trials, provided affidavits, and served as an expert witness. Her areas of expertise include geotechnical and construction engineering.
Connie holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
