Christian Trabue is a fine art appraiser and an accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America. She has over 20 years of experience evaluating fine art and antiques, specializing in serving high-net-worth clients and providing appraisals for donations, collateral loans, insurance, and equitable distribution.
Christian's career began after completing the appraisal studies program at New York University, following internships with glass artist Stephen Rolfe Powell and work at Architectural Glass Art. She founded and operated a fine art appraisal firm for eight years, held curatorial and directorial roles in galleries, and spent 15 years as a project manager and review appraiser at one of the largest personal property firms in the US.
Compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Christian has presented at conferences, historic homes, and insurance companies on fine art and appraisal topics. She has authored articles on personal property valuation and served as an expert witness in depositions.
Christian is the Assistant Vice President of the High-Net-Worth Contents division at J.S. Held. A Fine Art Appraiser since 2002, she leads the development of the appraisal department, oversees evaluator reports, and conducts assessments and inventories for high-net-worth clients in contexts including insurance, trust and estate collateral lending, and equitable distribution.
