Brian Given is a construction professional with over twenty-four years of experience in commercial and residential construction. Brian has performed a multitude of management roles of increasing responsibility with two of the nation’s largest public developers. He is familiar with many facets of the construction process. His management duties over the years have included mass grading, infrastructure, and vertical construction. During his career in development, Brian successfully piloted the roll-out of a new internal means of production scheduling which increased profits, quality, accurate forecasts, and reporting. As a building consultant, he has been involved in thousands of matters varying in size and nature.
Brian Given is the Senior Vice President of the Building Consulting practice group and Regional Lead for the Western U.S. In this role, Brian has developed repair scopes and cost evaluations for fire, water, collapse, and earthquake, performed “clerk of the works” services, evaluated invoices, and completed cost analyses for claims ranging in size and nature. His assignments have taken him throughout the United States, including Northern Alaska. He has assisted in claims on government, private, and public entity projects, coastal commissions, and several specialty construction types, including high net-worth custom residences. Brian has been appointed as an expert in litigated matters, performed appraisal services, and been involved in white paper publications.
