Dr. Baylor Steele is a toxicologist with expertise in evaluating the potential human health and ecological effects of exposure to various chemicals, including pesticides, industrial compounds, metals, and pharmaceuticals. He has training and experience in conducting risk assessments, performing cancer and non-cancer hazard evaluations, preparing product safety assessments, and performing chemical exposure assessments. Dr. Steele has provided toxicology and risk assessment support for environmental remediation, product registration, regulatory rulings, and contaminated land investigation.
Dr. Steele has spoken at numerous national and international conferences on environmental toxicology, alternative animal models in toxicity testing, biomarkers of oxidative stress, chemical modes of action, and behavioral toxicology, among others. He has also lectured at various universities in Environmental Health, Public Health, and Environmental Science. Dr. Steele holds a PhD in Biomedical Studies from Baylor University, an MS in Environmental Science from the University of North Texas, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi. His project experience includes work in the US, Mexico, and Canada.
Dr. Steele is involved in technical project management at J.S. Held, where he serves as a subject matter expert on projects involving toxicology, risk assessment, and safety.
