Andrew J. Lonergan is a construction claims expert specializing in construction schedule delay and cost damage quantification analysis, claim entitlement, critical path scheduling, estimation of cost for repairs, and standard of care issues. He regularly consults on construction disputes and provides construction advisory services to construction contractors, subcontractors, owners, insurers, and attorneys. Andrew’s diverse experience includes commercial building construction, as well as projects related to institutional, industrial, power, highway, and wastewater construction.

Prior to J.S. Held, Andrew was a Principal and Vice President with Demand Construction Services, Inc., and before transitioning into consulting, he began his career at Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. and MAPP Construction where he served as an estimator and project manager on various projects. Prior to graduating, Andrew gained field experience working in the residential and commercial construction industry.

Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida. Andrew is an active member of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Forum on the Construction Industry and is involved in numerous professional organizations, including the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), and the Professionals for Colorado Contractors Council. Andrew has served as an adjunct Professor at the University of Denver teaching Project Management and Planning and Scheduling, and he has spoken on topics regarding construction scheduling, cost, and claims.
