Dr. Alexander Stamenkovic is a User Experience Manager within J.S. Held's Human Factors & User Research team. As a biomechanist and human behavior specialist, he brings over a decade of experience in research strategy and execution across academic and industry settings to generate quantitative user experience insights through the combined analysis of human motion and physiological signals (including neural, muscular, and cardiovascular measures). Dr. Stamenkovic delivers expertise in movement coordination, neuromuscular control during gait, balance, and falls, clinical movement rehabilitation, human health, performance assessment, and physical safety and wearability in product design.
Prior to J.S. Held, Dr. Stamenkovic worked as a Research Scientist servicing Meta's Reality Labs, devising, managing, and conducting generative and evaluative research efforts to inform product safety and risk mitigation strategies for software and hardware features of next-generation consumer technologies (including virtual/augmented reality and wearable devices).
He remains active in the international scientific community, having authored 20 articles at the intersection of anatomy, biomechanics, and neuroscience and as a peer reviewer for multiple scientific publications.
As a User Experience Manager, Dr. Stamenkovic expands J.S. Held's state-of-the-art scientific User Research Labs (URL) operations to provide technical consulting and end-to-end research services in the biomechanical domain. Located in Redmond, WA, and ideally situated within the innovation hub of the Aerospace, Life Sciences, and Technology industries, the URL Pacific Northwest site delivers specialty quantitative biomechanical user research capabilities alongside traditional UX solutions for our global clients. J.S. Held's URL provides product safety and UX research along the entire product lifecycle based on 50 years of human factors and failure analysis.
