Adam Isaacson is a specialist in forensic, structural, and civil engineering evaluations. Mr. Isaacson oversees and conducts evaluations involving damage and performance issues in residential, multi-family, commercial, and agricultural buildings, and non-building structures such as boathouses and awnings. Structural and civil evaluations include but are not limited to matters involving structural failures and/or collapse, post-fire structural evaluations, and moisture intrusion problems. Mr. Isaacson is a licensed remote pilot for small, unmanned aircraft systems (drones) through the FAA.

During his career, he participated in the design, inspection, litigation, remediation, and testing of building envelope components and materials. He coordinated with contractors, attorneys, insurance carriers, HOAs, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to address problems, develop solutions, and manage project details. He gained experience conducting forensic investigations to determine the locations and sources of water entry on a variety of building types.

While working for a major aerospace manufacturer, Mr. Isaacson conducted project planning for exterior laydown and transportation-related facilities. These duties included stakeholder outreach, analysis of project alternatives, and oral presentation to upper-level management.

Mr. Isaacson has several years of experience as a civil design engineer. He produced horizontal and vertical layouts of transportation, maritime, and other infrastructure projects, 3D grading design, and layout of associated drainage facilities. He conducted quantity take-offs of project components and materials for cost estimation. He assisted with the production of project specifications.

As a licensed professional engineer and a project manager for J.S. Held, Mr. Isaacson conducts diverse forensic investigations. He oversees projects involving other engineers, E.I.T.s, and service lines. Additionally, he has performed as the service line lead on several occasions, representing the Forensic Engineering and Architectural branch of J.S. Held on assignments. Mr. Isaacson conducts his own site inspections, participates and collaborates on joint examinations, researches applicable topics, systems, and materials, and prepares detailed, written reports to convey observations, relay pertinent historical information, and form reasonable and defensible conclusions.
