Abigail (Abbey) Cassin has experience providing forensic accounting services for both civil litigation and federal law enforcement cases. She earned her BS-BA, with concentrations in Accounting and International Business, from the University of South Carolina and recently completed her Master of Accounting at the College of William and Mary. She is currently pursuing her CPA licensure in the State of Virginia.
Abbey provides litigation support and forensic accounting consulting services, including financial statement analysis, application of generally accepted accounting principles, valuation, calculations of economic damages, evaluation of complex accounting and financial issues, and identification of key facts and underlying trends. Responsibilities in this role include assisting with document review and discovery, preparation of expert reports, and analysis of opposing experts’ reports. Engagement experience to date consists of assisting with the calculation of economic damages resulting from an alleged partial breach of contract between the United States Department of Energy and multiple nuclear utility companies.
