Joan is a Senior Consultant in J.S. Held's Forensic Architecture practice with a diverse international portfolio. She joined J.S. Held in March 2021 following J.S. Held's acquisition of Sense Studio Limited. 

Joan has over 15 years of work experience in the construction industry and is experienced in all stages of the construction process, having worked with architectural practices in Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore for over ten years.

Joan's project experience includes architectural design, obtaining authority clearances, procurement, tender, construction, and handover, as well as administering construction contracts on Government procured and Design-and-Build projects in Singapore. She has worked on schools, high-end residential, public housing developments, conservation buildings, office buildings, hotel fit-out and rebranding, retail, restaurants, and mixed-use developments.

Joan assists J.S. Held's team of expert architects and forensic architects in research, analysis of technical design and specifications, and site investigations with some of our largest and most complex disputes in the UK and overseas. She has assisted lead experts in ICC and SIAC arbitration proceedings, and in arbitrations, adjudications, mediations, and court proceedings in the UK.
