Our Integration Process, Services, and Project Management
Our experts assist in integrating business units, identifying operational efficiencies, determining best practices within a facility to minimize disruption, and developing new processes and standards to facilitate an efficient transition to stable operations. We work with clients to implement integration plans that support overall strategic business goals and optimize collaborative advantages between newly merged organizations.
When engaged prior to a transaction, we help clients evaluate the target’s stand-alone and pro-forma financial and operational projections. Thereafter, we identify synergies and develop a practical implementation plan that considers the realities of the portfolio company’s business.
In cases where integration has already failed to meet expectations, we focus on addressing the underlying causes of the disconnect to return the integration effort to a path of success.
Depending on a client’s needs, we can serve as an overall project manager, lead individual initiatives, or serve in an implementation leadership role. Our objectivity, experience, and decisiveness bring clarity to chaotic integration scenarios and enables business leaders to focus on managing the day-to-day operations of their companies.
Our integration services include:
- Identifying integration needs
- Structuring a transitional services agreement, if necessary
- Developing an integration roadmap and timeline, as well as identifying responsible parties for each integration initiative
- Monitoring integration activities
- Executing the integration plan efficiently and effectively
Our integration services support all functional areas of a business, including organizational structure and leadership; sales; marketing; finance; manufacturing operations and supply chain logistics; information management; IT; legal and compliance; cyber; intellectual property; environmental, health, and safety; and human resources.
In scenarios in which a portfolio company is resource-constrained, pre-acquisition planning was sub-par, and/or is experiencing integration challenges, we also serve as a rescue integration manager to reestablish the integration priorities and manage the integration process to conclusion.
