Heidi Aragon has been with J.S. Held since July of 2016. She is based out of our Temecula, California office and is a consultant for our Property Damage Consulting Business Practice.
“Heidi is a talented and highly motivated young professional,” said Timothy Dowden, Operations Manager – California. “She is always thinking of others, willing to help anyone at the drop of a hat, and shows that she cares about the success of her fellow colleagues every day.”
Heidi’s role includes providing inspections, scoping, estimating, and detailed cost analysis on insurance claims. Whether she is working on a daily assignment or complex loss, Heidi brings commitment, enthusiasm, and a lively personality to every project.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, Heidi worked in sales and customer service in personal and commercial lines of insurance. She began her insurance career working for a broker as a commercial lines policy assistant preparing certificates of insurance and assisting with policy qualification. After a few months in this role, Heidi made the decision to change her path and pursued her California Property and Casualty Insurance License. Upon passing the exam, Heidi became a customer and sales representative for the next five years of her career.
Following her time in the commercial insurance field, Heidi served as an assistant director for an excavation damage prevention company in New Mexico. Her experience in these areas strengthened her knowledge of the insurance industry, public speaking skills, training abilities, and effectiveness in project management. Additionally, she was able to leverage her understanding of building components to obtain her Water Restoration Technician (IICRC) certification.
In 2016, Heidi moved back to her hometown of Wildomar, California to be closer to her family. During her job search, she came across a temporary administrative assistant position for a construction consulting company with an office in Temecula, located just south of Wildomar. Heidi applied for the job and was hired to provide support while another employee was on maternity leave for three months. Her eagerness to contribute and interest in the consulting industry ultimately provided her a chance to begin training as a consultant after her temporary position was completed. Today, Heidi is thriving in her new role and well on her way to a fruitful career.
Heidi is recognized for her expertise in analyzing claim costs. She has worked on a variety of complex matters including solar energy projects, catastrophic apartment fires, and multi-family properties with water damage. The opportunity to solve unique challenges on a daily basis while working with a team of like-minded colleagues is what Heidi enjoys most about her role at J.S. Held.
Heidi’s passion for being a consultant is derivative of her natural desire to help people. She is compassionate and understanding in times of adversity and embraces every assignment the same, regardless of how many intricacies there may be. Heidi views challenge as, “an extraordinary chance to make an impact,” which is an integral part of what makes her successful.
Away from work, Heidi enjoys living life to the fullest in “The Golden State.” She can be found shredding waves on her wakeboard, conquering the terrain on her mountain bike, or seeking out the best local grilled fish taco.
Heidi also participates in her local Clean Extreme initiative, where community volunteers pick up trash, clean up weeds, trim plants, and rehabilitate the environment around her hometown.
