What truly differentiates J.S. Held is our people — world-class talent driven by a common set of core values. Together, these shared values inspire a culture of integrity, excellence, teamwork, and service.
Erin Fallon joined J.S. Held in September of 2017 as a part of the Donohue Consulting acquisition. She is based out of our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office and is a consultant for our Construction Advisory Business Practice.
“Erin is a consummate professional,” said Sean Donohue, Senior Executive Vice President – Advisory Services. “Not only is Erin technically proficient, but she is also one of the most dependable people I have ever worked with in any organization. She takes ownership of every assignment on her plate and always exceeds colleague and client expectations.”
Erin’s role includes the evaluation of construction schedule delay claims, labor productivity claims, and related construction cost damages. Whether she is working with a construction attorney, contractor, or owner; Erin is consistently recognized for delivering first-class customer service while helping clients resolve the matter at hand.
Erin is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. While in school, Erin was in a cooperative education program with Bayer, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, where she had the opportunity to work with the engineering department designing new chemical plants and diagnosing equipment-related issues in existing plants needing facility upgrades.
Upon graduation, Erin entered a workforce that had little demand for engineers, which led her to take a job with a small construction advisory firm specializing in construction schedule claims and construction cost analysis. During her time with the firm, she learned the ins and outs of the construction industry and ultimately fell in love with this newfound line of work.
It was in the fall of 2015 that Erin made the next step in her career and joined Donohue Consulting’s construction advisory group. Erin had known Sean Donohue, the owner of Donohue Consulting, for several years and the two became friends after running into one another at trade shows and conferences. While working with Sean, Erin became a fixture in the greater metropolitan area of New York, handling many of the largest developments taking place in and around the city.
Just over two years later, Erin joined J.S. Held as a part of the Donohue Consulting acquisition, a change she describes as, “invigorating and rich with opportunity.”
Erin is renowned for her expertise in forensic construction schedule analysis and construction cost damage evaluation. She has worked on a variety of property and infrastructure construction projects including several New York roadways, power generating stations, public schools, private developments, and industrial facilities. When working on an assignment, Erin enjoys being able to assess the situation at hand and craft a customized solution addressing client-specific needs. She takes great pride in providing clients with the information necessary to make important, and sometimes difficult, business decisions.
Erin strives to become one percent better every day; whether that means added efficiency, learning something new, or refining her skill set. To her, success is a measure of growth and gained understanding that result in living life smarter and better tomorrow than today.
Away from work, Erin enjoys getting elbow deep in eggs, cream, and sugar as she and her daughter, Olivia, whip up magnifique crème brûlée. Olivia aspires to become a pastry chef in Paris when she grows up, so much of Erin’s free time is consumed with baking and repeated trips to the grocery store. She also stays active during the winter months skiing with her husband, Brian, and son, Owen.
Erin also participates in the parent’s guild for the non-profit ballet school her kids attend. She serves as President of the organization, which actively coordinates community outreach opportunities and fundraising efforts to support programming.
