Steve Webber is the Regional Practice Manager of British Columbia for J.S. Held, a respected construction consulting firm whose work typically includes inspection of damaged buildings, determination of means, methods and costs of repair, estimating cost of work, monitoring job site progress, and determination of repair and depreciated values. The firm has evaluated damage to more than 25,000 buildings and structures throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia. Assignments have included commercial and industrial structures, multi-unit structures, historic buildings, and residences. The company has evaluated damages caused by fire, windstorm, hurricane, tornado, collapse, vandalism, flood, earthquake, insect infestation, soil movement and expansion, and vehicular/aircraft impact.
During his tenure at J.S. Held, Steve has been involved in building restoration and consulting since 2010, his hands on experience in residential/commercial construction, education in civil engineering, and experience in building restoration give him a well-rounded background for building construction consulting. Steve has been involved in building and restoration consulting projects throughout British Columbia and all of Canada, these projects involved replacement cost appraisals, damage consulting, cost estimating, preparation of repair scopes and overseeing the bid procurement process. His experience with catastrophe responses includes the Slave Lake wildfires of 2011, the Calgary floods of 2013 and the Fort McMurray wildfires of 2016 (Canada’s largest catastrophes in recent history).
Steve is skilled in providing impartial restoration consulting services, his problem solving skills and ability to focus on project requirements and goals throughout the complexities of an insurance claim results in fair and accurate quantification of claims for all parties involved.
