Scott Black has over 28 years of experience in the Construction Industry, with the last 23 years spent in the restoration industry. He started his career as a carpenter on residential and commercial projects and then, with more involvement and knowledge, became a Project Manager, Senior Estimator, and Consultant. Prior to joining J.S. Held, Scott was a Regional General Manager for a large full-service restoration company with offices across the United States and Canada. Scott is an extremely detailed and process-driven professional.

Scott’s expertise is in mitigating water and fire claims, with a firm understanding of industry standards, equipment needs, manpower, and processes related to the Standard of Care. Scott has spent time in Florida, Mississippi, and Texas working on hurricane damage claims to multi-family, hospitality, and other commercial losses. Scott worked as a Project Manager on ABC’s Extreme Makeover (after the Storm projects in Texas and Mississippi). Scott has obtained the most advanced certifications the industry has to offer.
