Robert Saltsman is a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) Senior Mechanical Engineer with over 26 years of experience. He specializes in the mechanical design of commercial, medical, and private buildings with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. His background includes interdisciplinary coordination and design of mechanical systems with demanding architectural and program objectives, as well as contract administration of national and international construction projects. Mr. Saltsman is experienced in working with federal, county, and city government officials and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) for plan reviews and permitting of project designs. His technical skills include automated design with Revit MEP, Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D Modeling using LIDAR Scanning, AutoCAD, HVAC load programs, life cycle cost analysis, and fire protection calculation software. Mr. Saltsman also has experience in designing numerous LEED Certified and LEED Silver commercial, DOD, and Florida Air National Guard projects achieving more than 30% energy savings than that required by ASHRAE 90.1. In addition, Mr. Saltsman has expert witness experience and enjoys marketing.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, he is responsible for leading forensic inspections and multi-discipline analysis teams for various projects involving failures with fire protection, mechanical/HVAC, and plumbing systems. Projects include (but are not limited to) indoor air quality and mold investigations, building envelope failures, fire investigations with air handling equipment and chiller fires, boiler explosions, and high-rise piping failures. Mr. Saltsman also performs quality assurance/quality control of project reports to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. Many of these reports are for insurance adjusters or insurance claims and to attorneys for cases preparing for subrogation. Mr. Saltsman also meets and markets various clients to support them in upcoming losses and litigation.
