Pooja Sharma has experience in the power generation and renewable energy industry. Prior to joining J.S. Held, Pooja worked for a large public utilities commission, providing regulatory oversight of issues related to developing and operating the energy market. She was responsible for developing new electricity and natural gas rules to resolve market design issues. Pooja worked closely with the industry participants and the Department of Energy to develop a roadmap to achieve decarbonization of electricity by accelerating the adoption of renewable energy. She was the primary contact at the Commission for Distributed Energy Resources-related consultation and was actively involved in Vehicle to Grid Integration project.
Pooja investigated customer complaints and non-compliance with energy market rules. In addition, she was involved in regulatory proceedings and dispute resolution at the Commission.
Pooja consolidated and analyzed energy market statistics and performance data for strategic planning at the Commission. She has a detailed understanding of generation, transmission and distribution of energy, power pricing, utility billing process, energy market regulations and policy development.
Pooja joined J.S. Held in 2022 and has since been involved in data collection and analysis, estimating damages, and report drafting. Projects include loss of profit calculations, property damage analysis, and business interruption insurance claims for renewable energy sites.
