Matt Cahill is an accomplished construction professional with over 15 years of estimating, roofing, and claims experience. His technical consulting emphasis is on residential and commercial loss estimation, including complex roofing systems.
Matt’s background prior to construction consulting includes construction project valuation, property claim estimations, and business ownership. While in construction project procurement and management, Matt generated comprehensive damage assessments and managed the overall repair process through completion, invoicing, and collections. As a former senior property claims adjuster, Matt investigated complex residential property claims to establish damages, determine, liability, and evaluate coverage. This is inclusive of large catastrophic loss valuations resulting from hurricanes, flooding, fire, and mold.
As a past owner and operator of a successful residential roofing company, Matt has practical and wide-ranging skills including executive-level sales and marketing, revenue forecasting, profit and loss (P&L) management, and day-to-day business operations.
Matt has been involved in all facets of the construction process, including assistance with bid management, contract negotiations, subcontractor negotiation/award, project scheduling, subcontractor management, cost management, staff selection, and all duties related to project management.
