Mark Taylor's specialized expertise includes patents, trademarks, trade secrets, trade dress, false advertising, contracts, oil and gas royalty, and environmental and insurance coverage issues. He has consulted with law firms and corporate clients in all phases of litigation, including licensing and market assessments, case strategies, discovery, motion practice, financial analysis, expert reports, depositions, and trials. He has experience with damages calculations, reasonable royalty analyses, lost profits analyses, economic domestic industry and remedy/bonding analyses, financial and damages scenario modeling, and database analysis and programming. Mark has significant experience identifying and analyzing relevant financial information, license and other technology transfer agreements, business and strategic plans, competitive and market assessments, and other data to assess and calculate damages.
Prior to joining Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held, Mark Taylor was a Co-Founder and Managing Director of IPFC Corp. with more than 25 years of experience providing consulting services to law firms and companies of all sizes involved in litigation, ITC Section 337 investigations, and other disputes, focusing primarily on patent infringement.
