Prior to joining Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held, Mark Taylor was a Co-Founder and Managing Director of IPFC Corp. with more than 25 years of experience providing consulting services to law firms and companies of all sizes involved in litigation, ITC Section 337 investigations, and other disputes, focusing primarily on patent infringement. His specialized expertise includes matters involving patent, trademark, trade secret, trade dress, false advertising, contract, oil and gas royalty, environmental, and insurance coverage issues. He has consulted with law firm and corporate clients in all phases of litigation, including licensing and market assessments, case strategies, discovery, motion practice, financial analysis, expert reports, depositions, and trials. Areas of expertise include damages calculations, reasonable royalty analyses, lost profits analyses, economic domestic industry and remedy/bonding analyses, financial and damages scenario modeling, and database analysis and programming. Mark has significant experience identifying and analyzing relevant financial information, license and other technology transfer agreements, business and strategic plans, competitive and market assessments, and other data for purposes of assessing and calculating damages.
