Juan Solano brings more than 25 years of professional experience in the structural design industry. As a structural design drafter, Mr. Solano has gained a broad range of experience working with wood, steel, concrete, and masonry. He prepares professional drawings that provide visual guidelines for construction of schools, commercial, residential buildings, and other structures by using computer-aided design (CAD) and/or REVIT software.
Using his knowledge and understanding of structural engineering and design, Mr. Solano provides technical drawings and details based on rough sketches with the specifications and calculations from engineers. Mr. Solano adds or makes necessary changes to designs while checking and verifying that drawings conform to specifications. He consults with other designers and engineers as needed.
Areas of expertise include: new floor/roof framing, detailed connections, footing/foundation systems, AC unit roof replacement, structural damage beam/column repair, cmu/concrete wall in-fill, cmu/concrete wall opening reinforced, concrete slab in-fill, sawn lumber wall and roof repair, commercial, residential, renovation/repair design, and new construction.
