Jessica became a Learning Experience Designer due to her long history and love of online learning. Jessica received her high school diploma from a local online school in the early 2000s. Nearly a decade later, Jessica realized how significantly evolved online learning had become when she completed her B.A. in Organizational Leadership at Chapman University online. Her career in Learning & Development began as a hospitality supervisor with the important role of performing the new hire onboarding and continuing education courses. As her passion for training evolved, Jessica went on to obtain her M. Ed. Instructional Design from Western Governors University, topping it off with a certificate in E-Learning Instructional Design from Oregon State.

Prior to joining J.S. Held, Jessica has worked for a preparatory school, a national kitchen retailer, and an international mortgage company to implement instructional design principles, taxonomies, and models. Her experience ranges from conducting needs analysis, writing learning objectives, designing and developing learning materials and online courses, developing assessments, overseeing focus groups, consulting subject-matter experts, and analyzing test reporting.
