Frances McMorris brings extensive experience writing about legal and business issues to J.S. Held. She has worked as a legal affairs reporter on the staff of several of the largest New York City newspapers, where she covered major trials and other high-profile events. She later served as editor-in-chief and editorial director of an award-winning monthly magazine and website for financial advisers. She also has produced thought leadership articles focused on insurance and reinsurance topics for a major Fortune 500 corporation.

As a content marketing specialist with J.S. Held, Frances collaborates with colleagues to create relevant and essential content that resonates with practice groups and clients alike.

Frances is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars. She also served as a president of the Newswomen’s Club of New York, the first and oldest professional organization for female journalists in the country, as well as secretary of the Anne O’Hare McCormick Memorial Fund, which awards annual scholarships to women attending Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
