Celina Ma is a Managing Director in J.S. Held's Construction Advisory Services Practice. She is a professional engineer with more than 11 years of experience in the construction industry. Celina is renowned for her knowledge of scheduling and delay analysis. Her expertise also includes analyzing change orders, project documentation, and labor productivity, as well as quantifying damages. She has worked on projects across Canada and the United States.
Celina has developed specialized tools used to audit construction schedules, and capture and analyze field data required to monitor on-site labor productivity.
Celina was a Partner at Examine Construction Consultants. Prior to joining Examine, she was a senior consultant at Tardif Murray and Associates (TMA). Following TMA’s acquisition by Deloitte, she stayed on board as a manager in the Capital Projects division. In both positions, she was involved in writing, preparing and reviewing expert reports and construction claims.
Celina earned her MEM in Engineering Management at Sherbrooke University. She holds a Bachelor of Building Engineering from Concordia University. She has been a guest speaker at major construction conferences in Montreal.
Celina is a member of several affiliations including the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI), the Institut de médiation et d’arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ), and the ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC). She is treasurer for the Montreal division of the AACEI.
