Alberto Trigo is a forensic engineer specializing in investigations to determine the root causes of building and property damage. His expertise includes analyzing storm damage from wind, hail, and fallen trees, as well as fire damage. He also investigates moisture intrusion through the building envelope and other construction defects. Mr. Trigo provides consulting and expert services for both plaintiff and defense law firms throughout the State of Florida.
Mr. Trigo is a Professional Civil Engineer with approximately 10 years of experience spanning construction, aerospace, and nuclear power. He began as an Assistant Construction Field Engineer and transitioned into a Mechanical Designer role in aerospace. He continued in a Designer capacity emphasizing structural engineering for a nuclear plant build before later becoming a Civil/Structural Engineer to expand his structural knowledge and satisfy his growing interest in that field. His background includes drafting steel, concrete, and formwork drawings, along with modeling steel and concrete structures in 2D and 3D. Through his diverse roles, Mr. Trigo has developed a well-rounded expertise in structural design, analysis, and field engineering across industries.
Leveraging his expertise, he has performed structural forensic assessments on diverse properties situated throughout Florida. The scope of these projects includes an array of building types, including but not limited to single-family residences and commercial structures. Evaluations have focused on determining the cause and extent of damage resulting from factors such as building envelope failure, construction defects, moisture intrusion events, tree impacts, and storm forces involving wind, hail, flood, and surge.
